Our Exhibits

Feel forces, pull yourself up, freeze your shadow, throw air across the room! Touch and try exhibits on light, electricity, forces, momentum, sound and much more! SEE’s exhibits aim to create fun, hands-on informal learning experiences for visitors of all ages and create opportunities to build creatively and problem solve. Check out some of our exhibits below.

The LEGO® Millyard

SEE is the home of the LEGO® Millyard, a permanent representation of Manchester’s millyard circa 1900 built with more than 3 million LEGO® pieces.  The LEGO® Millyard is the largest permanent LEGO® installation at minifigure scale in the world, as recognized by Guinness World Records®.  The model represents Manchester’s Amoskeag Millyard as it might have looked circa 1900.

Sun, Earth, Universe

Sun, Earth, Universe  exhibition about our planet, the solar system, and the universe, and the big questions NASA is trying to answer about each.  Questions like–how is Earth changing? What is it like on other planets? and does life exist beyond Earth? This exhibition was developed by a team led by the Science Museum of Minnesota, and the National Informal STEM Education Network (NISE Network) in collaboration with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).

Physics Fun

Discover how we roll, bounce and float in our collection of hands-on physics exhibits.  Engage in hands-on experiences that make you smile and think about how things move in our world. You can feel momentum when you spin, pull yourself up with the help of pulleys, capture your shadow on a wall, generate your own electricity, experiment with magnets and more.

Cooking & Chemistry

Designed to inspire visitors ages 3 – 7 to engage with their parents, visitors can try new things and build confidence in a restaurant kitchen and chemistry lab setting.  Both are filled with tools and materials both familiar and diverse from each setting.  Visitors can experiment, magnify, measure, role play and explore.  Cooking & Chemistry is presented by T-BONES and CJ’s Great West Grill.

Dinosaurs

Dinosaurs are always a fun first science experience -and one that is fascinating to revisit again and again.  At SEE visitors can imagine and role play dinosaurs behaviors, go on a fossil dig, see how dinosaurs may have run and more.

A family looks at a giant model of a double helix.

BiologYou

Explore the amazing DNA molecule and discover how we are built from DNA to cells to tissues.  This exhibition also includes introductions to the latest biotechnology being developed in Manchester New Hampshire. Components of this exhibition were made possible by the Advanced Regenerative Manufacturing Institute (ARMI) and the NHCF’s Entrepreneurs’ Fund AMP Grant competition.

Bubbles, the ocean & you

Bubbles are fun but also important.  Put yourself inside a bubble, discover how they connect our ocean and air.  Listen to the amazing sounds bubbles make and observe how gasses in the ocean affect shelled animals. Learn about waves, wind, water and air, how they are all are connected and affect our lives.
