Historic Patent Models at SEE
Six patent models from the Rothschild Patent Model Collection are on display at the SEE Science Center in Manchester, NH The patent models are from the period between 1809-1905 and are a wonderful example of the science and technology of the past. They will be on display until December so don’t miss them. This exhibit has been sponsored by local patent law specialists Grossman, Tucker, Perreault & Pfleger, PLLC.
The patent model display continues an effort by the SEE Science Center to pay tribute to past achievements in the areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The ingenuity of the past is also on view in the science center’s permanent display: The LEGO® Millyard Project. This collection was selected to reflect themes related to the Millyard and New Hampshire.
The Rothschild Patent Model Collection is the largest private collection of viewable United States patent models in the world. The collection of more than 4,000 models is housed in Cazenovia, N.Y. After these patent models leave the SEE Science Center, they will be heading to the Smithsonian in Washington D.C. to be included in a display there.
