Color Chemistry

For Pre-K, K & 1st grade students: Students will listen to a story and engage in a chromatography experiment.

Featured:

Students will receive an introductory lesson on separating and mixing colors.  They will learn about the root colors of black and brown in a hands-on activity.  Students will have the opportunity to experiment with other colors. After the activity students will listen to a story while their projects dry.  This program features the book Mix It Up by: Herve Tullet.  This activity always created excitement and smiles.

  • One hour program with SEE instructor followed by half an hour of explore time in the SEE Science Center.
Outreach Program
$10/student
  • SEE instructor comes to your location for a one hour program. Materials will be provided for each student to use during the program.
  • Additional charge of $0.55 per mile.
  • Limited to a 30 mile radius of the SEE Science Center.
