Donor Advised Funds (DAFs), or Charitable Gift Funds (CGFs) are charitable giving tools that allow flexibility to donors when making charitable contributions. They are set up by donors through their financial advisor and can be filled with low priced stocks to maximize tax benefits. Once a DAF is set up, donors can write checks or transfer funds from their DAFs to their favorite charities.
Making a contribution to SEE from your DAF is easy. Use this tool (DAF direct) to make a direct contribution.

The SEE Science Center accepts gifts of securities. Donating appreciated stock allows the donor to receive a charitable deduction for the market value of the stock, while avoiding paying capital gains taxes.

If you have funds in your retirement accounts that you do not wish to declare the income for, you can direct the custodian of your IRA account to contribute up to $100,000 to SEE Science Center as a “Qualified Charitable Distribution.”

You can support the SEE Science Center by making a provision in your will or trust to include the organization as a beneficiary.
