Science on Tap: The Future of Nuclear Power Nov. 5

Science on Tap events are informal discussions with local scientists and experts on a particular topic held at Stark Brewing Co. in Manchester.

On November 5th our topic is the Future of Nuclear Power.

With climate change models predicting a tipping point in the immediate future – alternative energy investment and action are incredibly important.  One proven alternative is not getting as many headlines or investments as solar and wind.   Join us to take a closer look at nuclear power, its’ past and potential.  Discuss the future of nuclear energy and what obstacles the technology faces.

Jacopo Buongiorno TEPCO Professor of Nuclear Science and Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and the Director of Science and Technology of the Nuclear Reactor Laboratory at MIT

Doors open at 5pm panelists are introduced at 6pm

Science on Tap is a program of the SEE Science Center. The ongoing series is held the first Tuesday of each month from October to June. The events are free, attendees are welcome to order from the food and beverage menus.
