This unique and fun science themed event has been a community favorite since 2002. Held annually in early spring, the Champagne Putt features an 18 hole mini-golf tournament, fun contests, food & drink, as well as networking and team building.

We had a successful Night One of the 2026 Champagne Putt with 32 teams competing.
We clearly had some good putters in the house with 25 individuals qualifying for our longest putt playoffs. But with the crowd gathered and the spotlight on only one of them came through.   Nikos Kalampalikis from Bar Harbor took home the trophy as the only contestant to make the putt in our first and only playoff round.

For the 18-t hole tournament.  We were looking at a three-way tie with three teams with scores of 33 in the clubhouse, but then Bank of New England and the Checks & Balances team from Bar Harbor came in with scores of 32.  Then it came down to a head-to-head playoff with both the Banking Division and overall championship on the line.  Once again, Bar Harbor proved they were ready for the spotlight by scoring a birdie on the first playoff hole.  Congratulations to Mike Woodbury, Charles Seugling, Shane Klardie and Nikos Kalampalikis on their win.

Bar Harbor did not have a clean sweep of the night however as the team of Lauren Duboiz, Jen Salsisbury, Amy Connolly and Lisa Wilcox from Sheehan Phinney took home the prize for best dressed team with their creatively chosen outfits for our finance focused night.

Night two saw 27 enthusiastic teams hit the course.  The Southside Team of Chuck Rosenthal, Rod Carrier, Jeff Moran and Dan Quinn took the Nite and overall Tournament win with a course record tying score of 29 to best the Northeast planning team of 4 non-blondes by one.

The longest putt once again saw a lot of qualifiers but like on nite one they lost their mojo in round one with none of the 18 sinking a putt.  But they warmed up for round two with four contestants all making the putt on the ricochet to move on to round three.  Mary Quinn made the putt and took home the title in Round 3.

We had a hole-in-one winner Enedy from Eversource.  This does not happen every year so a big congratulations to him!  Eversource also took home the coveted Best Dressed Tittle.  Competition with pirates, deadheads, a shark, lumberjack and the Men in Black in the house.  But Nathan Cote, Mike Kenny, Matt Sweeny and Berendan O’Shaunessy the “Birdie boys”  nailed their pun as bird watchers.  Congratulations to all!   Thank you to all of our sponsors, donors, volunteers and players for supporting SEE!  We had a great 25^th Anniversary event and look forward to the next 25!
