SEE is celebrating 40 years in 2026!

And it will be a big year for many other reasons too.

SEE turns 40!

SEE will officially turn forty on April 1, 2026.

SEE began as a component program of Southern New Hampshire Services, now called Community Action Program for Hillsboro and Rockingham County. SEE was dedicated and opened to the public on April 1, 1986. SEE became a stand-alone nonprofit organization in 2011.  Learn more

Our First Ever Capital Campaign

The Science For All Capital Campaign is scheduled for completion by the end of 2026.

The work of the campaign will include a new exhibit gallery called the Millyard Design Zone which will have more than twenty hands-on experiences on the topics of city planning, energy and conservation and manufacturing.The campaign will also make improvements at SEE Science Center.  Learn more and discover how you can participate.

The LEGO® Millyard turns 20!

The LEGO® Millyard at SEE was dedicated on November 29, 2006.

This model is the largest permanent LEGO® installation at minifigure scale in the world as recognized by Guinness World Records®.

The LEGO® Millyard received significant upgrades in 2025 as part of the Science for All campaign including the re-installation of running water.  It will serve as the centerpiece of the new Millyard Design Zone exhibit gallery.

And those are just the biggest highlights!  In 2026, SEE will also offer more summer camps, and activity days than ever before. SEE will continue our pilot program offering sensory friendly and immunocompromised friendly hours. We will celebrate the 25th anniversary of our adult fundraiser the Champagne Putt and launch a brand new adult event the Tinker Games.

Winter

  •  January 19th : Special Monday hours on Martin Luther King Day .  SEE will be open from 10:00am-4:00pm with special activities throughout the day.
  • February: Celebrate black history with our profiles of individuals who have made contributions in STEM.  Try a scavenger hunt any day.  Look for pop up activities throughout the month.
  • February 13, Friday free Community Discovery Night from 5pm – 8pm. Sign up here.
  • February 16  : Special Monday hours for George Washington Birthday.
  • March 1, Sunday:  Team Red Storm 509 from Bedford H.S. will demonstrate their FIRST® Robotics Competition robot at SEE from 10am -1pm.
  • March 8, Sunday:  Celebrate Ralph Baer a Manchester resident, known as the father of video games with special activities.
  • March 14, Saturday: Enjoy Pi day activities
  • March 25 – 27 SEE Closed

Spring

  • March 25 & 26 25th Annual Champagne Putt.  A 21+ 18 hole mini golf tournament to benefit SEE.
  • March 28, Saturday: Watch the Rube Goldberg Machine Regional competition at SEE.  Learn more about participating and spectating.
  • March 29 to April 4th “Museums for All” week at SEE will be charging the Museums for all admission price ($3) for all visitors – no card required.
  • April 1st SEE’s official 40th birthday
  • April 5th Sunday SEE Closed
  • April 20 & 27 Special Monday Hours 10am -4pm during school vacations with Earth day pop up activities
  • April 20th Monday: Park to Park Community clean up
  • 40 Days of Giving Drive May 1 to June 10 ending on NHGives Day.

Summer

  • June 19th SEE Golf Tournament fundraiser
  • June 20 -26 Kickoff to Summer featuring LEGO® activities and Celebrating the LEGO® Millyard Model
