Millyard Design Zone

Categories: Campaign Update

One of the goals for our  Science For All capital campaign is innovative exhibits.  The plans for these exhibits evolved through an exhibit-design process that incorporated community stakeholders and extensive evaluation by the public. More than 20 components are now planned for a new exhibit gallery which will surround SEE’s iconic LEGO® Millyard Project.

The new gallery will be called the Millyard Design Zone: Cities Reinvented, and will be an interactive exhibit area where visitors can discover and try creative science challenges based on the LEGO® Millyard. The exhibit will have three areas of engagement: Energy & Conservation, City Planning, and Manufacturing.

The Millyard Design Zone components will integrate stories from Manchester’s culture of innovation, past, present, and future.  The Millyard design Zone is scheduled for completion and dedication in 2026.

We invite you to become part of this initiative by donating to the Science For All Campaign. Campaign donations of $250 and up will receive an acknowledgement graphic brick around the LEGO® Millyard Model.
