Tour programs are offered to give visiting groups a unique educational experience at the Science Center. The group moves around the museum with a guide and together experience some of the amazing scientific discoveries our exhibits demonstrate. The tour program content is geared to the age of the group. Featured exhibits may include any of the following exhibits and topics: the Van De Graaf Static Electricity Generator, the Harmonograph drawing machine, simple machines, sound, properties of light, air pressure, etc. The tour concludes with time for the students to explore the museum freely with their chaperones. The time is typically divided equally between these two activities.
The Moonwalk (a simulation of our moon's gravity for students weighing 70 pounds or less) is offered to younger groups. Please be advised that if you have a group of 45 or more students who are moonwalk eligible, you have the option to have a shortened tour in order for them each to have a turn or you can have a full-length tour that does not include the moonwalk.
Explore time includes viewing of the LEGO® Millyard project.
